Wet Tapping and Hot Tapping

Wet/Hot tapping is a means to create a branch connection on an existing pipeline without service interruption. A tapping sleeve and valve are used to facilitate cutting a hole in a pipeline while under pressure. This procedure allows for the creation of new service lines, fire surpression lines, water and sewer force mains and other infrastructure expansion.
